For our Coaching and Management Pathway, young people can join us straight from school and undertake the Community Activator Apprenticeship. They will actively participate in coaching children between the ages of 4 and 16 on a daily basis while completing essential qualifications, including the Level 1: Introduction to Coaching course, First Aid, Safeguarding, and referee training.
As they progress, we offer opportunities for further development, including advancement to UEFA C, UEFA B, and higher-level refereeing courses. Beyond these qualifications, we provide leadership, diversity and confidence training and will actively involve our young people in the creation of Razor FC’s training drill content, which will be used by all coaches and volunteers at the club. This pathway ensures they gain hands-on experience and become future leaders in the football community.

We are always on the lookout for volunteer parent coaches to support their children’s development in our grassroots teams. If you take an active role in supporting our coaches on a seasonal basis, we’re excited to offer: ​​​​​​​​​​​​

Free subs for your child for the year
Most importantly, free tea/coffee on weekend training and match days!
All we ask is that you are available for most training sessions, attend the majority of match days, and commit to us for the season.Oh, and don’t forget to bring your unbridled joy for all things grassroots development!
If you already have your Level 1 and Safeguarding qualifications, that’s fantastic! Should you be looking to take your coaching journey further, we may even be able to help subsidize your path to UEFA C.
We understand that volunteering at grassroots can be time-consuming (we’ve been there!), so we make sure to give something back and support your coaching journey. We’d love to talk to you and see how you can become part of the team!
